KTM 450 SXF/XCF 6-SPEED TRANS MOD & POWER UP MOD
A popular modification we have been doing to the KTM 450 SXF & XCF models is adding a 6th gear to the transmission. Many riders, including desert racers & snowbike riders, are looking for more top speed out of there 5-speed 450’s. This modification to the transmission, using all KTM genuine parts coupled with an REM Isotropic Treatment, gives them just what they are looking for!
For some customers, we have coupled the transmission modification with a simple but effective power up modification to the engines’ top end. A CNC cylinder head port job, surface machining, cam shaft modification & custom dyno tuning has been achieving over 10% gains in horsepower at the rear wheel, which is just what you need for pushing that new 6th gear or snow track – Ask about a Vortex ECU upgrade to get the most out of your new set up.
