Honda Canada GDR – Team Update
Here is a quick recap from the race weekend at Gopher Dunes. The day was filled with crashes by all of our riders but they were able to keep the damage in points minimal. Here is a recap of each riders day:
Colton Facciotti – Colton led a good portion of the first moto before a small tip over moved him back to 3rd place. A few laps later Colt had a big crash in a fast whooped out section which he suffered some minor injuries from but was able to manage finishing the moto in 6th. For the second moto Colton had a good start and finished in 3rd place going 6-3 for 4th overall.
Jeremy Medaglia – In moto 1, Jeremy had an 18th place start and worked his way up to 3rd place at the finish. In moto 2, Jeremy was involved in a first turn crash that wrecked his subframe, right muffler and rear brake line. After pulling into the pits to see if any of the damage was repairable Jeremy showed a ton of heart, went back out and was able to work his way up to 12th at the end of the moto.
Kyle Keast – Our 450 support rider, Kyle Keast had a tough day crashing in both motos, one big crash off a jump in moto 1 and two crashes in moto 2 with a first turn pile up and a wash out in a turn later in the moto. Kyle finished the day with 16-11 moto scores for 11th overall.
Westen Wrozyna – This was our 250 support riders first race of the season and it was a very solid effort by him going 13-8 for 8th overall. Westen was also involved in a first turn crash in moto 1 but battled back through the pack.
